Q: Who are the eligible applicants for ‘Urban Reimagine Design Competition?

A: The team for the competition will consist of 2 students from the same university - not necessary in the exact same department or year. The applicants could be in any level of education degree but still in the students’ status during the initial screening and workshop period.

ตอบ : ทีมที่เข้าเเข่งขันจะต้องประกอบด้วยนักศึกษาจำนวนสองคนและต้องอยู่มหาวิทยาลัยเดียวกัน เเต่ไม่จำเป็นต้องอยู่ในสาขาหรือชั้นปีเดียวกัน ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะเป็นนักเรียนชั้นปีใดก็ได้แต่ต้องยังมีสถานะเป็นนักศึกษาอยู่ในช่วงการคัดเลือกรอบแรกและช่วงเวิร์คช็อป

Q: Is the A1 presentation Deadline on 30 January 2020 the final design solution?

A: No, and it shouldn't yet be. For the initial screening, we are looking for 'ideas' or 'concept proposals' that has the potential of developing into tangible solutions. The ability to pick up essential issues from the given relationship between the four cities will be highly considered. The presentation will not be judged from finished rendering skills, rather the core perception and communicating.

ตอบ: ไม่ และยังไม่ควรจะเป็นผลงานออกแบบขั้นสุดท้าย สำหรับในการคัดเลือกรอบแรกนี้ โครงการฯมองหาแนวคิดหรือแบบเสนอที่มีศักยภาพในการพัฒนาต่อไปเป็นผลงานที่ตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานของความเป็นจริงได้ ความสามารถในการหยิบยกประเด็นจากความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งสี่เมืองในโครงการจะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ ในผลงานรอบนี้จึงจะไม่ได้ตัดสินที่การนำเสนอที่สำเร็จเสร็จสิ้น แต่เป็นชิ้นงานที่สามารถนำเสนอแนวคิดและสื่อสารได้

Q: Does the project needs to be on the topic of ‘Doubled-Twin’ and in these four cities? Can other cities be chosen?

A: For this occasion, please focus on the given framework including the cities of Sapporo, Chiangmai, Onomichi, and Chonburi - as the pilot project pairs. ‘Doubled-Twin Cities’ project has been launched, researched, and kicked-off since 2015 by Season Maniac; supporting by professionals and practitioners. Thus, collaboration isn’t just a pop-up but has started before long and has built up a strong network, ready for the next steps.

ตอบ : ในโปรเจคปี 2020 นี้ จะเจาะจงการศึกษาการพัฒนาเมืองแบบ Doubled-Twin โดยมีเมืองทั้งสี่ ได้แก่ ซับโปโร เชียงใหม่ โอโนมิจิ และชลบุรี เป็นขอบเขตของโครงการนำร่องนี้

โปรเจค Doubled-Twin Cities ได้ริเริ่มตั้งแต่ปี 2015 โดย Season Maniac และได้รับการสนับสนุนโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญและนักปฏิบัติจากหลากหลายภาคส่วน ดังนั้นความร่วมมือนี้ไม่ได้เพิ่งก่อตั้งขึ้นในไม่กี่วัน แต่ได้สะสมเป็นเวลาสมควรและได้สร้างเครือข่ายอันเเน่นแฟ้น พร้อมที่จะมุ่งหน้าพัฒนาสู่ขั้นต่อไป

Q: Is that the design needs to be in a specific site of every city? What is the size of the design?

A: As explained above, the design at this stage does not necessarily need to be specified on single spots on each city yet - as the absolute solution could possibly become flexible. However, if the site specification would make your proposal stronger on certain issues, please consider which is best appropriate.

ถาม : จำเป็นไหมที่ต้องออกแบบสถานที่เจาะจงในแต่ละเมือง และผลงานต้องแบบต้องมีขนาดไหน

ตอบ : งานออกแบบขั้นต้นในรอบคัดเลือกนี้ไม่จำเป็นต้องเจาะจงเพียงแค่พื้นที่เดียวในแต่ละเมือง หรือไม่แม้แต่จำเป็นที่จะต้องมีการเลือกพื้นที่ใดพื้นที่หนึ่ง ผลงานออกแบบสุดท้ายจะเป็นการพัฒนาจากแนวความคิดในระหว่างการร่วมโครงการ อย่างไรก็ตาม หากการเจาะจงพื้นที่ศึกษาจะส่งเสริมให้ประเด็นที่หยิบยกมีน้ำหนักและชัดเจนขึ้น ก็สามารถนำเสนอได้ตามความสมควรทั้งสิ้น

Q: When does the project end and what are the steps towards the final design after the workshop session?

A: The selected teams of strong proposals will develop their designs through reviews with professionals and mentors, meetings with related organizations, traveling and writing the research. In September (*tentatively), the project will continue on the next steps of the exchange trip to Japan - where the candidates will open up another personal level of international collaboration. After the trip, candidates are expected to work on the final design for the public presentation at the end of the year. Please be noted that future opportunities and executions may be possible to develop during the collaboration.

ถาม : โปรเจคนี้จะสิ้นสุดลงเมื่อไหร่ และขั้นตอนหลังจากสิ้นสุดช่วงเวิร์คช็อปคืออะไรบ้าง?

ตอบ : ทีมที่ถูกคัดเลือกในขั้นต้นจะต้องพัฒนาผลงานของตนผ่านการพิจารณาของผู้เชี่ยวชาญ วิทยากร การศึกษาดูงาน การเข้าพบกับองค์กรที่เกี่ยวข้อง การท่องเที่ยว การเขียนรายงาน

และ ในเดือนกันยายน (*ตารางเวลาที่แน่ชัดจะแจ้งให้ทราบภายหลัง) โครงการจะจัดคณะเดินทางศึกษาดูงานที่ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและองค์ความรู้ ซึ่งผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะได้เปิดโอกาสทำงานร่วมเป็นหน่วยงานในระดับนานาชาติ ภายหลังการศึกษาดูงาน ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะทำการพัฒนาแบบจนถึงขั้นสุดท้ายเพื่อนำเสนอต่อสาธารณะ หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง และ อาจมีโอกาสพัฒนาไปสู่โครงการที่ได้รับความร่วมมืออีกขั้นได้
